Fairview, TN
Hi, I was hoping I could find a few people on here that are from Fairview, TN. I have 3 hens but recently found out that I can not have chickens in the area of town I live in. I am going to head over to zoning on Friday so I can find out the reasons why. If anyone is interested in helping me change the law about hens in our small town let me know. Thanks, Shelly

Hey! I live in Fairview, too! I'm not too sure about the laws there are on livestock, but im raising my chicks in a little brooder in my home. I live in a condo, and I'm pretty sure they aren't allowed here. Im in the midst of building a pen and coop for them at my boyfriend's house. He has a lot of land. :) I've never raised chicks before; this has been quite the experience, and I love them. Hehe 4 little cuties. Although, I think I have 2 roosters and 2 hens. That's a another bag of drama right there.

Anyways, let me know if everything got worked out. Also, let me know if you found anything out about laws and zoning of chickens. Peace

I just moved to Fairview, so I'm not entirely certain the zoning, etc. However, my mother has been planning on purchasing a bulk order of chicks, seeing as we just purchased lots of land, and we're eager to have chickens again. But, unfortunately, I believe the new law is that you are only allowed six hens, no roosters or breeding allowed, and your coop must be hidden by plants and other landscaping. I also believe that your chickens are not allowed to be free-range, they must be kept inside the coop at all times. Bummer. I'm determined to find a way around this!
