changing leg colors

a few months ago i won a frizzled white cochin pullet on eggbid. after talking to the seller i bought a splash frizzle pullet too- here was the problem- when i took the splash pullet out of the shipping box she had greenish legs! boy was i mad!!! today i went out to trim their bottoms to get good contact for breeding her legs are the nicest yellow as they should be. has anyone else with cochins had this experience? this was the first bird i have had this happen to and she is full cochin.

im not sure if its the same with cochins.. but in other breeds i've heard of them molting their leg scales and changing a completely differen't color... mostly due to something else being in their background (not necessarily different breeds. just colors and their leg color colliding) even experienced it myself with a black OEGB rooster (Not show qaulity) when i first got him his legs were a light black, he molted and had blue, black, and a gold color leg scales... also started coming barred with a few other feather colors showing up.
