My religion influences a large part of the way I farm - or even the reason I farm at all. God gave us this earth, and the animals to steward, and we should do it in good faith, and with good conscience. my father was very religious, and it instilled the same in him - thats the other reason why I farm at all - like many here I grew up with it.
Does it inform the daily choices you make on your farm/in your flock?
I'd be interested in hearing from poultry keepers of all religions in this thread.
Please follow all byc rules, don't start arguments, and if you have something negative to say, please don't post it!

Just silkies. We also have two B&G macaw parrots, two dogs, three cats, and a chinchilla. Most everything are rescues or adopted. You?
we have only hybrids at the moment. We have a small commercial laying flock. I want to breed my own next season so thinking either Rhode Island red or Slovenian brown hen. trouble is its hard to get birds that are bred for production in Ireland. most purebreds are either show birds or just bred with little emphasis on production and commercial viability.

we have two donkeys other than that, a veg plot and a handful of ducks and another small flock of barnyard hens, Maran, Sussex and mutts.
