Check out the new big brooder!

My girls outgrew the storage tubs they were in so I decided to build a 'big' brooder.

I had some old storm windows and a pile of scrap 1x3's laying around so here is what I came up with.

The windows are 5ft long by 3ft tall (on their side as in the picture) and the 1x3's are various lengths but the brooder is about 3 ft wide.

So for nothing more that some spare parts I have a 3x5 brooder that is simple to clean & fun to watch the birds!

oh i LOVE the window/plexi on the side how did you attach that. I just made one out of an old desk but I'd love to have it clear on one side.
