Cheery Hi from Germany

A cheery hello and thanks for the add from Hamburg, Germany, where I am just now in the process of buying/collecting materials to build a chicken coop in my small, rather shaded, urban backyard. I've wanted to do this for a while, but it's now also become part of the permaculture redesign of my own garden which I have been working on since last year, towards a Permaculture Design Certificate. The PDC is still in progress, but the time for chx is now!... or ten years ago might have been even better...!

I have a 2x3 meter space designated for an integrated coop and run, and plan to build asap, then find a flock of approximately 6-8 birds, something semi-local, maybe Vorwerk, Rheinländer or Dutch Bantams, depending on what I can find. I find the Dutch Bantams so lovely... but not 100% convinced yet about practicality.
