Cheese for chicks

I know calcium is not good for the chicks. Can I feed cheese to 2 weeks old chicks?

First up, I'm guessing.

I think the bigger issue than calcium would be salt.

They would be happy for the protein and fat, and I get the impression that the amount of calcium that pro-lay feed is fortified with is much higher and less bio-available than in cheese. It's not ideal as a feed, but I doubt it would be a big problem as an occasional treat so long as they have access to loads of clean water. It might be a bit hard on their wee kidneys. Yoghurt would probably be better.

What type of yogurt is best for them, fat free, low fat, or whole milk?
