Cheney WA- Spokane County, chickens allowed?

I am very interested in purchasing and raising a few laying hens next spring, but I can't seem to get any sort of answer from anyone at city hall, ets. as to them being allowed to keep as pets in city limits. I know they are allowed in Spokane, but does anyone know about here in Cheney?

Hi, I don't see that you received an answer. I live just outside Cheney city limits. Did you end up getting your hens?
