Cherries?

I am new to this chicken thing...just yesterday I got my layers and I have tons of questions. One being...which is probably stupid, but I need to ask. Can I give them cherries and do i need to pit them? Thanks

I pit them first, only because cherry pits can be mildly toxic, and I don't want to take risks with it.

Nope, not a stupid question...in fact, I believe I asked it at one point. I'm like dangerous though, I also pit mine.

We live on the wild side and let them have them, pit and all. So far so good, but they really do not get many since we eat them all!
