I have two roosters for adoption. They were supposed to be pullets but... they are a crowing! Photos are from a month or more ago. Only two poor pics from behind fence grid is recent.
One is a black beauty Australorp. Fantastic 4 h project. He is truly gorgeous, pics don't do him justice. The photos of him outside are over a month ago hes much larger and even prettier now! Intense red comb, gorgeous iridescent green feathers. free to good home
The other is I believe a Rhode Island Red. He is protective of the ladies and makes sure they're all tucked in at night. an excellent watch rooster. free
I'm driving from Northern Il to Milwaukee and then to Madison this weekend---I can meet someone along the way. I'd keep at least one if i was allowed roosters but I'm not
