chick age to introduce to grown hens

Just wondering if anyone can give advice on the best age that a chick can be introduced to a flock of hens. These are Rhode Island Reds. Thank you for any help!

My integration is not going well. It's much better if you wait to at least 3-5 months. Then they are old enough to defend themselves. If I didn't keep mine separated by the dog kennel, I'd have dead chicks for sure! My older ones are currently 13 weeks and the youngest is 7 weeks.
