Chick and food question..

At what age do you normally start swapping the chick crumb to adult food?

I started mixing small amounts or grit in with my chick at 2 weeks old and started feeding some mealworms and greens.. shes now 3 1/2 weeks old and the mother seems more and more concerned wth getting food out of me rather than the decent sized feeder full of chick crumb..

any thoughts?

i believe you can switch to a grower/finisher food after they are transfered to the coop or about 2 months? don't quote me on that...

but i believe you don't switch chicks over to adult layers feed until they around laying age.
