Chick ate rubber band

One of my 1 week old chicks found a stray rubber band on the floor and ate it! I tried taking it away, but she kept running and eventually swallowed it. What should I do? Should I put down some grit for her?

Well yea it looks like a worm Mom! Haha, hopefully it was a small rubber band and you shouldn't be worried, it'll pass. Grit is a great idea even though it to late for the rubber worm. Chicks are goofy and will eat all sorts of things they shouldn't. I honestly don't think it'll be a problem but keep an eye on the chick for a bit anyway.

I would give small grit (for pigeons). Just in case it doesn’t pass easily. If the chick eats grasses, small grit is fine too.

Make sure when she poops it doesn't spring back on her.
