Can I use Gerbil bedding for my baby chicks?

The preferred bedding is pine shavings. Most small animal bedding is paper type products which is definitely not recommend and most have scenting added.

I use puppy pads for the first 1-2 weeks and then switch to sand which has worked so well. I use a reptile poop scoop to clean the droppings everyday. Fast, clean and simple.

i do paper towls for the first couple days then do pine shavings!

I am currently using puppy pads, but don’t they need something to nest in, or are they to young for that?
