Chick behavior...

Do your chicks out of nowhere just freak out and run or jump on each other? Mine are 3 weeks old and trying to escape the brooder.

Mine are doing the same thing. Every time we get near they freak out. Hope this helps to know your chicks arnt crazy an that your not alone. Lol enjoy

This is about the time that they begin to sort out the pecking order. This sort of behavior can be pretty common. They're also kids so they naturally want to jump and run.

Chicks play at random, and try to "hop" the brooder. This is totally normal.
