My 2 wk. Australorp chick has been breathing heavy. She also isn't that active. She eats and drinks like normal. No bloody poo. What could be wrong?

Pullorum is a common illness in chickens that with cause inactivity in chicks, and trouble breathing. Though many other illnesses and physical problems (like being squished) can cause difficulty breathing and inactivity.

Do any of your other chickens show symptoms like hers?

Heavy breathing with opening & closing mouth but no gurgly mucus sounds can be a sign of pain. If eyes are partly closed, that would be an increased indication of pain.
