Chick breed?

Got a mystery rare exotic chick with my shipment from McMurray, what do you guys think this is??

Did you get the Rare Chick Special, or the Rarest of Rare one? (Hatcheries are so silly sometimes. Most often the chicks considered "rare" aren't all that rare at all, they just aren't the hybrids that everyone buys for eggs.)

It could be a Partridge Rock. (Duh. Why is that considered a rare breed???)

100% Egyptian Fayoumi. I'd recognize them anywhere. Partridge Rocks don't sport slate legs.

I’m not sure which I got, but after researching a bit and asking around, I believe it is an Egyptian Fayoumi!

Depends entirely on your situation! For those who free range, and enjoy pest control, Fayoumis are fantastic. I absolutely loved mine. Beautiful, exotic birds. Never seen such free spirit in any other breed.

It's rather difficult to keep them confined (unless given an enclosed run), as they fly prolifically, and love to roam.
