I was wondering at what point can one tell what color a chick will grow up to be?
I just hatched out some pure Orpingtons, but I have a flock of a few of each lavender, black, buff, and blue orps. The roo is a black Orp split with chocolate.
The new chicks look to be a solid dark brown color.
When will I be able to tell what their adult colors will be?
