Chick crop?

I had to bathe this one because it had pasty butt and another one had pooped on it too… but then as I was checking her crop seems large. I didn’t notice when she was dry so maybe being wet pronounces it more. What are your thoughts?

I'd monitor and compare the chick to the others once it dries off, but my gut feeling is that nothing is wrong.

I use a chick starter crumble. I haven't offered grit yet to this clutch because they just hatched this last weekend.

Oh ok I has bad luck with alaska mill and feed which compacted my isa browns crop and she didnt make it. I wasnt offering because they were only a few days old.

I avoid name brands. I feel pretty fortunate that we have locally harvested and bagged feed for livestock here. My hens were still laying pretty well during the winter and I think it’s because I stayed away from Purina.
