Chick Eyes closed.. too early to hatch??

My chick has externally pipped but its eyes are still closed and not much blood in the membrane i belive he has started drawing in the blood??? it pipped 19 hours ago and it is at the wrong end of the egg? will he be alright and what can i do to help help or should i leave him be??

Leave him be. If he has air then he's fine. It can take hours to days from pip to hatch. When they start to zip, though, it only takes about 20-30 min.

If he pipped wrong end then he will draw blood, as he also punctured the vessels.

If you feel he may need assisting read that. Be VERY patient, Ive rushed eggs and killed them.

thanks that website was very helpful.. he is being quite loud and i think all he needs is time and he should hopefully start zipping, my only concern is he looks a little big, I'm hoping I wont have to assist but I will wait it out for atl east another 18 hours unless his condition is on the decline. thanks again :]
