chick feed?

hi,
I was thinking about buying chick feed today for a hatch some time in April and a mail order chicks in the beginning of May. would the feed go bad by that time?

The best answer I can give is it depends. It depends on the quality of the feed, your environment (humidity, temp), and storage conditions. I would just wait to buy it until they’re only about a week out or closer. Especially since chick feed can tend to last a little longer since you aren’t feeding the little fellas as much as a grown bird.

Yes, you should return it. You should not feed medicated feed to chicks vaccinated for coccidiosis.
