Chick feeders

There is so much waste. I have been using the little plastic cone shaped feeders, and the chicks seem to empty them out just right away, and there is a ton of feed all over the place.

Is there a better feeder? Or something else I could do to reduce waste?

Any ideas?

I use a bucket from the bakery the white plastic kind with a lid use a hole saw making the holes a little bigger than the ones in the feeder you're using and up on the side high enough to hold feed in and low enough for the chicks to use and voila a really cool keep feed clean and off the ground kind of feeder best of all free just my time into it. I love these feeders for grown birds too way less mess.

You could try putting a little pie tin under the feeder to catch the feed they bill out. I have the same problem with my little ones and always look forward to the time when I can begin feeding them PELLETS!
