I know it's not ideal, but mommy and babies are in the coop with the rest of the flock (3 other hens). The problem is that one hen in particular has realized where the chick food is (not hard, it's in the corner of the coop) and is always eating it.

Any ideas on how to keep this from happening?

Maybe if you catch the hen in the act use a water bottle to spray her, repeat as necessary.

Flock Raiser or All Flock, whatever your feed store calls what it sells. It's intended to be fed to All the Flock, thus the name. So simple.
Or, let everyone eat chick feed. It's good feed. You'll just have to provide some calcium through egg shells or oyster shells for the layers, on the side.

So just keep refilling the chick feeder?

The ladies are also eating their own food so calcium isn't too much of an issue, it's just this one hen who's being a pig about it. She's the same one who laid an egg on Mom's head while she was incubating in one of the four nest boxes. Ugh!

Okay, I can just keep the chick feeder filled, I guess.
