Chick gel with bantams PSA!

I got lucky today. Just putting out PSA about bantams and chick gel from hatchery. Skip it. I nearly lost one from it getting lodged in her throat. I spent 45 minutes alternating breaks and massage on throat to crop. Might be a one off, but not worth the risk.
 
It dries out when exposed to air, and it can be thinned down with water. But yes it can get stuck if it dries. Glad that you were save to save your chick. I would get it to drink often for the next 24 hours and watch for pasty butt.

This was a great call! Pasty butt this morning and sleeping alone. Gave a good clean up and she's back with her sisters. Pooping and eating :) thanks for the heads up on that one
