I have a 4 day old chick who's not been eating and drinking on their own so I've been assisting with that. One moment they are chirping and sitting up then they go limp and unconscious for a minute or two. When awake the eyes are never open, could anyone help with what could be wrong and what to do.

Home hatched. Its walking around now and after some honey water opening its eyes slightly. But compared to my others it's tiny and so weak
Sounds like a runt, if not a Failure To Thrive chick.

Runts, can bounce back with extra care, Failure To Thrive chicks often die even if the best care is given.

I've been feeding watered down egg yolk over the past day as I was unsure what else to give and it is feeding well on it. I gave a few drops of honey water when I noticed he stopped opening his eyes. He's got pasty butt so I've been cleaning that, but currently he's very loudly cheaping away but im not leaving him alone for a second out of fear he would go unconscious again. Thank you so much for your help I'm just hoping my care will be enough. Its a North Holland blue chick .
