Good Afternoon!

I just bought my first bag of CHICK GRIT from my favorite Tractor Supply:)
I am sure you have a posting someplace that answers my question but

...do I put the Chick Grit IN their tray with their Chick Started Crumbles? Or do I put Chick Grit in it's own tray?
My Chicks are always looking at me as if to say,"What do you have for us now?" I have cooked oatmeal and mixed with a little applesauce the past few mornings and last nite before I went to bed I cooked scrambled eggs and chopped the shells in them as directed...
So HOW do I introduce this CHICK GRIT?

If your chicks are two weeks old OR older, I'd put a separate container in there for them with the grit in it.

Very young chicks fill up on grit. I have seen this over and over with my chicks.

The McMurray hatchery "chick care" website says to sprinkle it like salt over their food starting on the third day. This is what I do until around two weeks old.
