Okay, so I have three, three week old chicks (one Golden Laced Wyandotte, one Cuckoo Maran, and one Barred Plymouth Rock). They all grew up at around the same size and went through changes together, even welcoming the four other chicks when I got them in the brooder. But, recently the Wyandotte has been developing EXTREMELY fast. Her stomach and chest is almost fully feathered, as are her sides and wings, and she keeps trying to fly out of the box. The other chicks are merely just finishing feathering in on their wings! What should I do? I don't want to put Lucy in the coop alone when she gets big enough, but the other chicks are growing so slowly in comparison.
Anyone have the same problem? Is it just a growth spurt?
