I bought a five bird lot from a local farmer (c. quail) and one of the birds looks very deformed.... when I first got her she seemed okay but now it looks almost as if half of her body has shifted? she keeps her neck at a weird angle and her feet cross when she is lifted up and can barely walk. she still eats and drinks fine and over all acts just like all the other birds. All of the other birds are healthy and she is the only one that looks like this. should I just chalk this up to head injury (the brooder I made is about 12 inches high from where they are on the ground) or do I need to treat this like marek's?

Sounds like a vitamin deficiency. Chicks like this need vitamins E, D and selenium. You can try supplementing this one either on the tongue or in the water. Some good poultry vitamins should help this little one out.

However not all chicks respond and some do need to be put down.
