my Rhode Island Red bantam hen was in with 2 Rhode Island Red bantam roosters and 5 D'Anver rooster and 2 D'Anver hens and one day I walked out and there was my red hen with a baby it looked like a Rhode Island Red chick. After like 2 weeks it was looking more like a D'anver bantam so I though maybe it was the red hens baby and the dad was a D'Anver. But after like 2 more weeks it looked like a full d"anver and it is my red hen sat on the D'Anvers eggs and hatched a chick. The baby will be 1 year old at the end of July. I have some pictures of the mom and when the chick was a tiny baby. It was and still is the only chick that hatched on my farm. And here is a picture of the red rooster that I thought was the dad he won Grand Champion Poultry at county fair.
