Chick hatched after 32 days

I gave a friend an egg to hatch for me she put it in her large incubator and after awhile she noticed it was having issues so she put it in a smaller one after 23 days I told her it’s probably not good but she refused to listen. She still kept it and after 32 days it hatched!!! Has anyone ever experienced this?
