Just wondering if this is normal. It did get itself twisted around a wire that came down so i had to move it a little but the viens didnt pop. I just want to make sure that its not something i need to help with.

How is your chick? Usually they take care of that themselves, it will drop off and dry up, as they flop around in the incubator trying to find their legs. Some take longer than others. It's safest to let things happen as they naturally would, they are so tiny that sometimes trying to help can make things worse.

Thanks! She only hatched less than 1 hour ago. And right now its just one big vessel. Im not going to help unless needed, like if the vessel pops.

It should dry up eventually. If it's very thick and doesn't separate, then once it's fully dried you can cut it off with small scissors, stay a bit away from the chicks body. Just don't pull on it at all. If it's umbilicus, you don't want to pull it out. I rarely have to cut them, but have had a few that were very thick and didn't separate themselves. As long as it's doing ok, I would just give it some time.
