chick hatched today AND died

my baby chick took 12 hrs to get out of the shell once she did her feathers took hoursss to dry im talkin like 8-9hrs to dry and then she died. what does the temp have to be in the brooder for the chicks also how long after the chick hatches do you take them from the incubator to the brooder? also how soon should they eat she didnt eat or drink anything and couldnt even stand it almost looked like her feet didnt work for her. this is so upsetting if someone knows the answers please tell me

Sorry for your loss.

I was told brooder temps should be 95 the 1st week, 90 the 2nd week, 85 the 3rd week, 80 the 4th week etc. But my understanding is that only one part of the brooder should be this warm so that they can move in and out of the heat as needed. If they are all piled directly under the light it's too cold. If they are all out around the edges it's too hot.
