This is our first time trying to hatch chickens.
I have a couple of different bantam breeds in the incubator and one has hatched 4hrs ago on day 21. The problem is I see no signs of the others hatching or piping as of yet.

What should I do? As I know you leave it upto 25days for hatching🐣 but don’t want to leave the hatched chick in the incubator to long.

The chick is fine in there but wait about 3 days before moving to a brooder or giving food and water

and by the way when introducing to water you need to dip the beak so it knows what to do but don’t use a deep dish in case of drowning and watch it’s little butt for pasty butt you will a q-tip dipped in water to clean

Thank you for the reply it’s very much appreciated and all taken onboard and will wait the 3days.
Now if others hatch within the the 3days do I just move this one on its own and leave the others for 3days before moving again?

This my 2nd first time not a great success I’ve got 18 eggs in bator now this is the first time I’ve ordered from internet and I had broken ones yesterday my replacements came and they were a week after I set the first ones

I found that last time I did this when the first chick emerged it really made the others try harder to come out I think I left them in for a total of 4 days they just need to be fluffy and dried so you could remove one by one
I set 12 bantam eggs 6 survived til lockdown and four hatched and 2 died after moving to brooder one of those I tried to help out of shell and it broke my heart..

but I’m hooked on hatching whether broody or incubator this is really exciting
