I have a couple month old chick that had a band still around her leg from when they put a band on her when she was born. The skin started to grow around the band/tag and i just happened to notice today. We cut the band off and she is barely using that leg. what are some tips or should the skin grow back in a couple of days? I am worried that she will stop using her leg or the skin will have trouble growing back. I hope there is nothing i should be to concerned about. Please help me out!

Can you post photos of her leg and the injury?

Most wounds take more than a couple of days for skin to grow back.
General care is to clean the wound with saline or chlorhexidine, apply triple antibiotic ointment.

Once the band is off, you'll be able to tell much more about the condition of the leg over the next few days and whether or not she will be able to use it.

I am so sorry i am not able to put up a picture right this moment! But I do know that her leg is still really swollen and she is not using it very much.

Do I need to clean/treat it daily? If so what do I use?

I will try and get a picture up ASAP!

Yes, I would treat it daily. 👇
