Chick laying early.

I'm always concerned when a pullet lays that early. However there is little to nothing you can do about it, so don't worry. Internally she is ahead of schedule and you can't slow her down.

When I get hatchery chicks they all tend to lay early for the most part. 16 weeks is the youngest I have had lay. 18,19,20 weeks seems to be the majority when I get feed store chicks. However when I was young we always expected the pullets to start laying around 6 months or 26 weeks. But we had a closed flock.

Not to worry it is what it is. Wish ya the best.
