Hi all hoping you can offer me some advice.

My broody hen is hatching 3 eggs, I have a brooder set up for her with a separate run etc. my issue is however I have noticed some glis glis running around, although my brooder run is secure years ago when I had an omlet outside they actually ate through the plastic base into the house and I’m absolutely petrified they will do this and kill the chicks.

I’ve got a concreted chicken run and inside this I’ve got a separate omlet , I could have mum and chicks here as they would be separated from rest of flock. My issue is that the house is up on wheels on a ladder it’s not on the ground and not safe for a chick to climb. I wondered if you think it would be acceptable and safe for me to pick up mum and chicks and put them into bed each evening aswell as blocking the stairs and exit from the coop for the chicks or am I better to just put them into the prepared brooder.

Thanks so much
