Hi! I just got baby chicks from my pet chicken, they hatched yesterday and I picked the. Up today at 12pm, they immediately went under heat and I gave them food and water with electrolytes in it. I just went in and one of them was lying flat on its back splooted out, eyes open. Picked her up and she stood right up and I saw her eating. She fell over again but got herself right up. Should I be worried or is this just normal baby chicks behavior

It seemed bizarre, she was on her back but her head was like up and alert/ they’ve been here all afternoon and it’s the first time I noticed it

No seem normal! I know chicks can be clumbsy. The best analogy I can give is that it looked like a human doing a crunch

Here is a video for reference

Yeah I would try to get her some vitamins. It seems like it may be neurological to me, and something she may or may not be able to overcome. I personally havent ever had a chick do this. But vitamins/electrolytes certainly won’t hurt while you wait and see!
