i recently had a rough time with regulating the humidity in my incubator[it was too high] and had several chicks that wouldn't get fluffy. i actually ended up giving them a very cautious warm bath. turns out they had too much moisture in the egg during hatching so the remains of the egg white was coating them and not drying properly. the bath in clean warm water loosened the extra white and allowed them to dry nice and fluffy. i ran i trickle of warm water[ that i tested on the inside of my wrist first] and sort of used it to rinse their body off, making sure not to get any in their nostrils\eyes.
