Hi. I am currently incubating serama eggs--on day 20. This morning I noticed that one chick had pipped on the underside of the egg, against the cheesecloth. I can see bits of shell, but cannot visualize a pip on the egg itself. Will pipping this way cause the chick to die? Should I intervene? I only have five eggs remaining from an original 10--I don't want to lose any of them if possible. HELP!!

Im sure it will be okay, if you want to turn it a little to get the pip from being under the egg, im sure it wouldnt hurt it.
Does anone else out there have better advice?

I didn't want to open the incubator and risk losing humidity at this crucial point. My humidity is currently at 61%. I've heard seramas are very sensitive so I'm trying to maintain humidity relatively stable without too much fluctuation. These were shipped eggs from a breeder with some beautiful little birds. I've been particularly careful throughout this incubation. Will opening up the incubator long enough to turn the egg be enough to cause other chicks to stick to the shell?
