I have searched this forum for an answer, but I have yet to find a clear one. My egg in the incubator has pipped on side facing down on day 19... All I want is a clear answer, should I or should I not adjust the egg so that the pip is at the top? To do that, I would have to open the incubator for a brief second.... If the answer is no, could you please explain why? Thank you.

I dont mean to be annoying, but I would really like to know what to do.... Anyone??

IMO I would do it if it's really quick. I've opened to incubator before to move an egg and it was fine. If you feel the membrane is too dry wrap it back up in a moist warm paper towel.

Its been twelve hours and I still havent touched it and the pip is the same. Would I be helping it by adjusting it or would I just be making it worse??? Anyone?

Sorry I couldn't respond....had to sleep and go to work early this a.m. Glad it hatched!!! And chicks do take a while sometimes from pip to hatch. Sometimes up to 24 hrs...after that you need to decide if it needs help or not...,just for future info:)
