Chick Psychology

I was raising two chicks to add to my flock. Unfortunately, the neighbor's dog got one of them. Now the one seems to be restless and searching for the other one. She is still acting fairly normally, but when let out of the cage she is just looking for the other. I have a plan to get another one from a friend, but it may be a few days. Is there anyway I can make her less lonely until then?

I've heard people having good success with putting a mirror in there with the chick. Technically it will still be alone, but it will feel like it has someone to talk to.
