One of our week old chicks is shaking her head, especially when we take her out of the brooder to check over and pet her. It doesn't seem to happen as much in the brooder! She has been in there scratching around with her siblings, and hasn't shaken her head once while I have been watching. No sneezing that I have noticed.

They have been hatched and are being brooded indoors, and eat Purina chick food (with a tiny amount of scrambled egg as a treat yesterday). They get a little daily "playtime" with a mix of soil and sand. I have the standard TSC large pine litter in the brooder, which I just cleaned this morning, and fresh paper towel beneath the heat plate.

She seems otherwise happy, active, and playful. My husband and I did our best to check her nostrils, ears, and vent (didn't see anything).

I'm guessing it's the music. A few of mine really didn't appreciate any ambient music/noise, including my voice! I have a video saved of all the chicks twitching whenever I spoke to them. I can't tell if they're just processing, or if my voice is truly insufferable. If she's fine otherwise, I wouldn't worry. Should resolve once she's moved outdoors and the sound is more dispersed.
