Hello, baby chick #1 hatched today and is active and then sleeps, active and then sleeps. Is it normal for them to lay in the incubator and sleep? He seems to be taking lots of naps. I’m sure it’s normal, because it’s a lot of work getting out of that egg but I just want to make sure he’s okay. I’m waiting for my last chick to hatch before moving him to the brooder tomorrow.

Yes, it's very normal. Even after they are dry then moved to the brooder, they sleep a lot especially the first two days. At first, you'll think they died because they spread out on their bellies flat, so you'll look in the brooder and see all these flat bodies.
