chick w/bloody poo

One of my 2 week old chicks has blood in her poo! I looked @ all of there hineys and brought the one in that had some poo stuck to her and waited for her go again and it was normal. But went back out to the coop there was fresh spot out there w even more blood. Should I bring them in one @ a time to see who's doing it? None of them are acting sick! What is going on!?

you need to get your chicks on sulmet right now its more likely cocci www.poultrysupplies.com you can buy it from them or you local animal hospital may sell you some local CoOp's also carry it . Dont wast time it will drop your chicks dead right away. good luck.

Another Q should I strip the Coop and wash it down w/bleach water or something?

Yes and I would clean that pen every day . It is the waste that will cause the others to get sick. Its extra work but with great reward!

You can use bleach and water just make sure you rinse well, there are other products that you can buy, but that should do fine. good luck

ps get them a medicated chick starter from your feed store. It has meds in it to prevent this
