Chick wants to be held constantly

Long story short, I have ended up with an 8 week old Silkie. I have 13 3 month old chickens who are full grown. The silkie is tiny, too little to be set free with the others, so it stays in a crate in the run & coop with them. But y’all, this baby wants to be held any time I let it out. It is constantly trying to get on me so I will hold it, or so it can perch on my shoulder. What do I do? I don’t have the heart to let it free with the rest & let the pecking order happen because they peck at it so bad already when I’m in there with them. The baby is probably the size of a 3-4 week old regular breed chicken.

The chick is imprinted on you and thinks you are 'Mom'. When it gets large enough, gradually introduce/integrate it to the flock. Or get some more smaller chicks and raise them with her.
