I have a chick with an infection...she definitely has a fever because she is shivering and she has a soft mass that developed quickly over a couple days ...do you suggest draining the mass also can you give chickens antibiotics

If you can, take her to the vet for anything that involves breaking the skin. It can be painful for the bird. Is she acting strange in any other ways? Are the others picking on her? Are there visible cuts that an infection can get into? If so, defiantly take to vet because it may be and internal issue.

Sorry about your chick. Can you tell us a bit about how she has been brooded, how many others, how big of a brooder, and if all are the same age? Pictures are good. Try to find her crop in her right upper chest to make sure that this is a different soft mass. Is she eating and drinking for you? Shivering can be a sign that she is scared, or that she is cold. Keep her warm, and if you can divide you brooder with some netting or a divider to keep the others from hurting her that would be good. Offer her water and food. Does it feel like air under her skin, as if she has a leaking air sac? Is she having any touble breathing?

Can you get some more photos?
What is infected?

I agree, shivering could be she's too cold or she's frightened.
Is the mass you are feeling her crop?

Thanks for the reply...I overreacted...I think she just over ate ...that mass must of been her crop ...kept her isolated overnight she’s fine today
