I have a 10-day-old cochin chick who is favoring her right leg. She hops around the brooder on her left leg and doesn't seem to like putting any weight on the right foot. I'm not sure if it's broken because when she lies down she scratches herself with the right foot, and she's always stretching the injured leg. She's been like this for the last day. I have separated her with our docile polish chick, so she's not lonely. She's eating and drinking, but isn't going crazy with the food. Also, I notice she does the open-beak-panting thing sometimes. Does anyone have any advice? I don't think she's on death's door, but I'd like to see if there's anything I can do other than keeping her warm, isolated (w/a buddy), and fed. Thanks in advance!
