Chick with brown barring

I have a mixed chick that has brown barring.
The mother is a S. S. Hamburg, and the father could be either a barred rock or a rhode island red.

If the father is a RIR that explains the brown, but not the barring.

If the father is a BR that explains the barring, but not the brown.

Ahh, who knows?

I gotta go with RIR over SS Hamburg...the spangles could have expressed like that because it really doesn't look like true barring.

Her legs are pinkish in the pic but have turned a light slate color like her mom's in the last 24 hours!

Her chest is beginning to feather in a bright red, similar to a new hampshire.

The 2 pearl white leghorn X barred rock boys are turning totally white, and I think they're going to be bigger framed than a leghorn. they are already bigger than my barred rock boy.
