Chick with crooked neck?! *Pictures inside!! Help!*

Ok the chick is a lot better now. i got some medicine down him/her and i have been holding her in a warm towel upright to try and help her get her balance. she/he can now sit up strait (sometimes) but every now and then will have another "spaz attack" but for the most part he/she is doing a lot better.

If it's not walking around and doing the chick thing by day two or three, it is probably a vertebrae problem and will only get worse. I had one that managed to walk, eat and drink, but his head was always turned to the side and as he grew he got more and more contorted, and kept falling over. Finally culled it to put it out of its misery.

Structural issues will be evident in a day or two and they don't get better with vitamins.

Alright the chick can somewhat walk now!!! and the neck isnt all crooked anymore. The chick does fall over sometimes but definatly making progress

Thanks for all your help!

Don't give up. One of our hens has a crooked neck ( it was dislocated by an attack), it took her a while to get usd to eating and even walking on her own. She's fine now and lives happily with her handicap. We also gave those baby vitamins to perk her up.

thank you tuffoldhen and AK michelle for giving me the idea of using poly-vi sol! he is doing GREAT now. he eats and drinks on his owne, doesnt fall over very often, has a lot of energy, and his/her neck isnt all crooked anymore
