In the Brooder
Right I am going to be 100% honest and not beat around the bush.
Today I put my 3 chicks on nesting straw and the problem with the nesting straw is it gets in to the water. So I tried to make the water higher then the floor brooder so that the straw couldn't get in by putting a turned over plate so j could put the water and it would be higher and I wouldn't have to clean it out every 5 miniutes. And I picked the water up to clean it out and was a complete idiot and left the plate in the broader. After I came back with the water she was falling over to her right and couldn't even stand up. So I took her back to the breeder and she said it looks like a foot infection. So I have socked her foot in salty warm water. She can now stand but she us incredibly wobbly and falls face first. It's not that I don't trust the breeder I just came to get a second oppinion. I don't think it's splay leg because it's not both legs just her left leg.
now my 4 week old cream legbar chick has either got sloped tension, or a foot infection.
Any ideas? Or any way I could help her? Thanks you
