I have a quick question: I have a chick that is a few days old and its legs are "splayed out" and it doesn't walk like the rest of them. I have separated it into its own box with a heat light. food and water. Is this something that will straighten its self out or should I have my husband "cross it over"? I'm assuming its a dis~joint problem due to getting sat on? They do have an appropriate sized area but you know how they love to snuggle together. I appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with this problem before, thank you

It is definitely not a reason to put her down. The good news is that it is VERY, and EASILY treated.

Thanks guys. She is all set in her "soft splint" and hopefully with enough TLC, she will do great.
